FAQ

  • Do you take walk-ins?

Appointments are required! In the event of an urgent need, we will do our best to accommodate but we are not an emergency clinic.

  • Do you accept new patients?

Dr. Baranack has and always will accept new clients and new patients.

  • Do you offer any boarding or grooming services?

We are not equipped for boarding. We do provide sedated grooming when medically necessary.

  • Why can't the receptionist fill your walk-in prescription request?

A federal law requires that veterinarians establish a valid doctor-patient relationship before treating an animal and/or providing medication. Only licensed veterinarians can diagnose and treat animal illnesses. Flea, tick & heartworm prevention from our office is by prescription only and will go through Dr. Baranack.

  • Will my pet need overnight hospitalization for surgery?

We want our patients home with their families, most surgeries will go home the same day. There are cases that Dr. Baranack will decide to keep overnight so he can continue to monitor until they are able to go home fully recovered and well rested.

  • “My pet has too much anxiety to be dropped off.”

Most pets do much better than the owners think while in the clinic. If we do not think your pet can be dropped off, we will make accommodations to get your pet seen. If your pet exhibits any signs of anxiety during their stay, they become a priority to examine, treat and be picked up.

  • Do you see birds, lizards or rabbits?

Dr. Baranack does not see any exotics. On occasion, he will do a rabbit’s teeth or nail trimming and a bird’s wing or nail clipping. We can provide cremation services for pocket pets and others.
